On June 22, the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) released its 2025–2026 Super Elite Teams for UIL softball and track and field, honoring standout student-athletes from across the state for their exceptional performance this season.
Softball honorees (all in the 6A division_ included:
· MVP: Ella Kate Smith, Katy High
· DPOTY: Evie Willemssen, Katy High
· Madison Smith, Katy High
Boys track and field super elite team members are:
· Division 6A MVP: Blake Hamilton, Tompkins High
· Division 6A: Maddox Davis, Katy High
· Division 6A: Cadyn Key, Katy High
· Division 6A: Carter Maloy, Tompkins High
Girls track and field elite team members are:
· Division 4A: Allanah Shepherd, Freeman High
· Division 6A: Carla Angueira-Colombani, Seven Lakes
The full list of softball and track and field Super Elite Team selections is available at: https://www.thsca.com/super-elite-teams. Super Elite Team honorees are nominated by THSCA professional members and selected through a review process led by sport-specific advisory committees and the Super Elite Team (S.E.T.) Committee. The S.E.T. Committee includes 808 coaches representing all eight THSCA regions. Final selections are determined based on committee recommendations. To be nominated, athletes must meet the following criteria:
· Be varsity team members in good standing
· Demonstrate strong character and exemplary athletic performance
· Be nominated by a head coach who is a current THSCA professional member and meets all nomination deadlines About Texas High School Coaches Education Foundation The mission of the Texas High School Coaches Education Foundation is to develop funds from a broad range of donors to provide professional education programs that will strengthen, reinforce, and enhance professionalism inhigh school coaches throughout the state of Texas. These programs
provide instructional material and training in character development to coaches in Texas at both the high school and middle school levels.
