The Texas Theatre Company was the place to be Saturday, June 22, as sold-out crowds enjoyed two performances of “A Walk Through Time.”
Top songs from the 1940s through the ’80s were revitalized by current high school students of the Performance Fine Arts of Sealy as well as members of the Texas Theatre Company who were closer to having personal connections with songs at the time of their release.
The first show started at 2 p.m. with the nightcap beginning at 7 p.m. without much wiggle room in the seats. Singers put their own spin on some of the classics, taking the audience through the music of each decade while Dick Fagert provided comedic interludes between sets.
The whole show built up to the final performance made by the entire cast where the whole building sang along to “YMCA.”
