The NFL released it’s regular season schedule on Thursday, and with it came a slew of interesting matchups for the Texans.
The biggest of which is when the Browns will come to NRG Stadium on Dec. 4 in what might be a rematch with former Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
This comes shortly over a month after Watson was traded to the Browns for a large haul, including first round picks in this years draft as well as 2023 and 2024 to go with a 2023 third round pick and a 2024 fourth rounder.
Watson is still awaiting an announcement from the NFL on if the league will give him a suspension for the 22 civil lawsuits against him.
Houston will open the season against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 11, as the Texans will play at home to open the season for the second straight year.
The only prime time game of the season will come on Nov. 3 for the Texans, when they host the Eagles for Thursday night football. Houston will also to play the Dallas Cowboys in December, in the two teams first matchup since 2018.
The Texans will take on NFC East and AFC West opponents throughout the season as well as their AFC South rivals.
The Texans will travel to Denver to take on the Broncos in the second week of the season before taking on the Bears in week three. Houston will end the season with three AFC South opponents, traveling to Nashville to take on the Titans in week 16 before playing Jacksonville at home and away at Indianapolis in the final two weeks of the season.
The Texans bye will come in week six.
