Tammy Lee Riesmeyer was born on February 28, 1968 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Leonard Eugene Hickman and Shirley Anne Hartline.
Tammy grew up and went to school in Pittsburgh. After graduation from Brentwood High School in 1986, she went to Point Park College. She met the love of her life and married Richard J. Riesmeyer in Pittsburgh on August 30, 2003. Tammy went on to be an IT Analyst in disability services and healthcare. Tammy was a fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams but her favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers. She enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader and all that came with it: going camping, earning badges, cookie sales, arts and crafts. She often visited nursing homes and brought gifts for the residents, reading books and caroling for them. Tammy took on many tasks as a homeroom mom at school bringing, gifts to teachers and substitute teachers and going on field trips with the school. Tammy enjoyed baking cakes and cookies for special family events. She was deeply passionate and involved with her daughter’s softball team “The Texas Blaze” and often volunteered to be team mom for her son’s baseball teams. Tammy loved her gardening and spending time with her loving family and walking her rescue dogs, Honey and Daisy, but never forgetting her first family dog Sandy who has passed away.
Tammy was a very adventurous person; she loved to travel as a family to Italy, Florida (Sanibel Island and Disney World), San Antonio to see the Alamo, Sea World, Six Flags, and trips to visit family back in Pittsburgh.
