Katy-based Supply Bridge Ministries will hold its fourth annual Operation Turkey Drop this year, with the goal of benefiting 75 families whose children attend Morton Creek Junior High School in Katy’s northeast quadrant. The project will provide a Thanksgiving meal to families in need, which will include a turkey, stuffing, side dishes, bottled water and other essential food items.
Last year, some families who were qualified to receive the Thanksgiving meal were unable to accept it, because they did not have the necessary utensils and equipment to cook the turkey, such as a full-size roasting pan, SBM General Manager Nicholas Doherty told the Katy Times. Donations of roasting pans are also encouraged.
