On July 18, three Austin County 4-Hers assisted County Extension Agent Michelle Wright with teaching and leading a food and nutrition educational program with several local youths at the Knox Memorial Library in Wallis.
Grace Lischka and Bailey Locke shared the importance of MyPlate and eating from all five food groups daily. At the end of the program, Harper Lischka assisted his fellow companions with implementing the bingo games which focused on proper portion sizes. At the end of the program, the youth assisted the participants with creating a race car out of apples and grapes for their healthy snack.
