Moving into a new home comes with a long to-do list—but waiting for WiFi no longer has to be on it.

Comcast Xfinity is bringing its WiFi Ready experience to Sofi Lakes in Katy, marking a first for the company: a single-family home community offering pre-installed Xfinity equipment in every residence.

· Each home comes with an Xfinity Gateway already installed and connected to Comcast’s fiber-powered network.

· Residents can get online without waiting for an installation appointment.

· Residents will have access to a dedicated Xfinity Community Representative for personalized support.


Comcast has offered this move-in-ready convenience in apartment and multifamily properties for years, a company spokesperson said. Its debut in a single-family community gives a timely look at how built-in connectivity is becoming part of the modern homebuying experience in one of the region’s growing communities.
