The Seven Lakes High School Freshman Color Guard won their division’s State Championship during the Texas Color Guard Circuit event on March 8. The guard is comprised of 22 freshmen and is the only all-freshman group in the state, according to the school’s e-newsletter.
The Seven Lakes freshman team won a gold medal in JV Regional A Class (This class is for students from the same school, focused on training and achievement for younger members to perform and grow.)
Later in the month, Seven Lakes High School Varsity Color Guard also won a gold medal in Independent A Class (This class is for ensembles who are seeking national-level competition and desire to compete against post-graduate ensembles.)
Taylor High School’s color guard won a gold medal in Scholastic A Class (This class is for experienced ensembles who are aiming to be competitive at the local and state level.)
Jordan High School brought home a gold medal in Scholastic A National Class (Same as Scholastic A Class).
