As they prepare to open the doors of Royal Prairie Elementary for the first time, Royal ISD school staff members are working hard to ensure all of the new school’s students are equipped with the tools they need for a successful start to the school year. The campus is opening in the Sunterra neighborhood in Katy at 7560 Bartlett Road, north of Clay.

And they are calling on the community to help.

“We would be incredibly grateful for any donations you are able to provide,” said school counselor Lauren Brown in an email to the Katy Times.

Some of the items most needed include:

· Backpacks

· Pencil Pouches

· Pencils

· Notebooks

· Composition books

· Folders with pockets

· Reams of Paper

· Hand sanitizer

“Any additional supplies you’re able to contribute would also be greatly appreciated,” said Brown. “Your generosity would go a long way in supporting our students and helping them feel confident and prepared as they begin this exciting new chapter.”

Beginning August 4, supplies can be delivered directly to Royal Prairie Elementary School at 7560 Bartlett Road in Katy.
