The Sealy ISD Board of Trustees adopted its annual goals for the 2019-20 school year at last Wednesday’s meeting. The goals are:
A diploma from Sealy ISD means that you are prepared for whatever comes next
a) All students will know and master essential learning standards.
b) All graduates will be college ready, career ready, industry certified, or enlisted in the military.
c) 70% of students will meet the passing standard on STAAR/EOC exams for all student groups.
d) 18% or more of students will score “masters” on STAAR/EOC exams.
e) 90% of students meet or exceed one year’s growth.
A good team of educators can change the world
a) All faculty will be equipped to engage in a PLC culture.
b) Educators will be trained and supported in the use of research-based best practices.
c) All educators will identify and communicate essential learning standards.
Educating our students is a community effort
a) The district will engage parents in awareness of district priorities and goals through social media platforms and community events.
b) The district engages 100 or more external stakeholders annually in meaningful ways.
c) Sealy students will be in attendance 97% of the time.
A safe environment is key to social, emotional, and academic success
a) We will seek out, communicate, and follow best practices for keeping our students safe.
b) We will provide information and training to all stakeholders regarding student safety and welfare.
