Schofield speaks at Rotary Club of Katy
Texas State Representative Mike Schofield, whose District 132 covers a portion of the greater Katy area, speaks to the Rotary Club of Katy on August 6 at the Club at Falcon Point, 24205 Falcon Point Drive in Katy. Schofield covered recent developments affecting the business climate in the state, including the summer launch of the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE), a fully electronic, national securities exchange headquartered in Dallas. After the meeting, Schofield told the Katy Times that two major developments to watch in the next legislative session include regulations for new AI data centers and 765 KV transmission lines, along with action on homeowners’ insurance.
