Rylander Elementary School, located at 24831 Westheimer Pkwy in Katy, will be celebrating its twentieth anniversary with a community event on Saturday, April 6th, from 10 to 11 a.m. The Katy ISD school will be unveiling its new mascot and revealing the 20th anniversary tile wall to the community. All former principals and some members from the Rylander family will be in attendance, campus officials said. Planned activities include the opening of the original time capsule and the sealing of a new one. Following the one-hour event, the school carnival will start at 11:30 a.m.
