Two Royal High School students have signed letters of intent to continue their careers at the collegiate level. Signing ceremonies took place May 9 at the Royal High School Gym, 34499 Royal Road in Brookshire.

Melina Mendonca signed with Fisher College in Boston Massachusetts in softball. Jackyline Chavez signed with softball also, with Fort Hays Tech Northwest in Goodland, Kansas.

“I’m super proud of both these girls,” said new RISD Athletic Director Doug Foster. “They worked their tails off to earn this day. I’m so excited to see what their softball journey will be.”
