In a historic achievement for Royal ISD, Esteban Carranza has been named the district’s first-ever SkillsUSA District 9 Officer, the district announced in a June 10 press release.
Esteban, a dedicated student in Royal ISD’s Cosmetology/Barbering program, has made remarkable strides in leadership and service, the press release said. This summer, he completed his first SkillsUSA leadership training camp, where he was officially installed as the District 9 secretary. Esteban also earned the prestigious Statesman Award, a recognition of his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
Esteban has been invited to represent District 9 in Washington, D.C. this September, marking another incredible milestone in his journey.
"This hasn’t been an easy road, but Esteban—you did it!" said RHS Cosmetology Instructor DeMonica Kennard Jones. "The Cosmetology/Barbering program is beyond proud to have you as our fearless leader. You are paving the way for others to follow."
