Royal ISD held its annual Future Farmers of America show on Saturday, April 10 with 72 student projects bringing in more than $270,000 for students. This year’s show was the 65th held by the district and more than 500 people showed up to support RISD FFA students.
“Other activities associated with this traditional FFA event included the BBQ luncheon which fed over 580 people. The FFA Parade was another huge success for the participants and was a treat for those who viewed the entries along the parade route,” said Royal ISD Career and Technical Education Director Ronnie Melton.
Prior to the show, the district’s traditional parade was held with the Best of Theme trophy being awarded to the Brookshire Youth Sports League. In the announcement, Melton also expressed appreciation to those who coordinated the activities that made the parade and show a success for the students.
