Royal High School's Cadet Jacob Pistor has been awarded the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross, Royal ISD announced on its Facebook page on September 30.
The Legion of Valor Bronze Cross was established in 1951, it is the highest honor a cadet can receive and is presented by the Legion of Valor of the United States of America Inc, a fraternal organization of Medal of Honor and Service Cross recipients, according to the post.
Each year, Senior Marine Instructors may nominate Junior Cadets for this prestigious award. The nomination process involves submitting a comprehensive nomination package, which is forwarded through Regional Director to Headquarters.
“Being chosen for this esteemed award is a testament to the cadet’s remarkable accomplishments and the high standards they have set for themselves,” said the post. “As recipients of the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross, they become part of a distinguished group of young leaders who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and capability. Please join [us] in congratulating Cadet Jacob Pistor for earning this prestigious honor.”
