Registration is now open for the 33rd Annual Katy Triathlon, hosted by the Rotary Club of Katy on September 6 at the Boardwalk, 24566 Kingsland in Katy.

The event, which begins at 7:30 a.m., features:

· Triathlon: 500-meter open water swim/12-mile bike/three-mile run

· Duathlon: 1.5-mile run/12=mile bike/three-mile run

Aquabike: 500-meter open-water swim /12-mile bike

· Dash Triathlon: 200-meter open water swim/eight-mile bike /1.5-mile run


Proceeds from the Katy Triathlon benefit the Rotary Club of Katy's scholarship fund, which provides grants to graduating Katy ISD seniors and also supports a variety of vital community projects.
