The National Rifle Association Foundation has awarded the Austin County Sheriff’s Office a grant totaling $1,538 to fund gunsmith tools and supplies.

“We are very excited about receiving this grant and are pleased that the NRA is making an investment in our community,” said Austin County Sheriff Jack Brandes.

The Austin County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for all unincorporated areas within Austin County.

“The Austin County Sheriff’s Office will continue to take advantage of all opportunities to ensure our deputies have the tools and resources to protect and serve our citizens,” Brandes said.
