Neighbors walk in support of family of Eddie Hall
Over a hundred people – most wearing blue to help raise awareness for autism -- turned out on July 25 for a neighborhood walk in support of the family of Eddie Hall, a five-year-old autistic child from Katy who went missing earlier in the week and was later found dead. The walk from the intersection of Ryans Rock Court and Halle Ray to Amy Campbell Elementary, organized by neighbor Marie Freelon who has two autistic children, drew walkers, golf carts, and scooters. Freelon said that she organized the event to support the Hall family, who remain in seclusion, and to increase awareness for autism, to promote prevention and to “suspend judgment,” noting how quickly and easily a young child can get out of a house, despite precautions.
