Nancy Jean Hoyt Cardiff went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Nancy was born in Katy, Texas on February 11, 1931 to parents Eugene and Pearl Irene Hoyt. Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Tom Cromwell Cardiff, Sr. in 1949 at First Baptist Church Katy.
Nancy would sometimes ride her horse to school in Katy and was the only Katy student to be an FFA Sweetheart two times. She was an accomplish china painter, oil painter, and Sunday School teacher. She also led all five of her children to The Lord.
Nancy is survived by her children, Deborah Cardiff Dantin and her husband, John, Leslee Cardiff Sisk, and Jim Cardiff and his wife Cynthia Marie; grandchildren, Aimee Dantin Gilmore and her husband Brent, Tommy Cardiff, Ed Cardiff, Sarah Cardiff, Wallace “Wally” Sisk III, Zachary Sisk, Jake Cardiff, and Lili Cardiff; great grandsons, Reese and Beau Gilmore; siblings, Joe Hoyt and Carolyn Hoyt McIlroy; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Katy Magnolia Cemetery in Katy.
