Moving Fort Bend Forward
Greg Babst, manager of Fort Bend County’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HS&EM), speaks at “Moving Fort Bend Forward,” held at Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management 307 Fort St., Richmond on January 30. The event, which also featured speakers from the county’s fire, EMS and sheriff’s departments, was hosted by the office of Fort Bend County Judge KP George, and is an opportunity for Fort Bend County residents to learn firsthand about emergency preparedness, public safety initiatives, and the role of local agencies in keeping the community safe. Babst oversees all aspects of the county’s planning for, response to, and recovery from emergencies, and disasters.
