Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land recently opened the doors of its private showroom to host a high-energy send-off celebration for the 10U Edge Baseball team, the "Bubblegum Boys." The exclusive event honored the Katy-based youth team as they prepared for their first-ever World Series appearance in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, this June.
The private event recognized the team's immense dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship -- the core values that drove them to this major competitive milestone. Beyond the celebration, the partnership highlighted the vital role youth sports play in fostering discipline, strong character, and positive role models within the local community, organizers said.
“We are incredibly proud to support these remarkable young athletes as they compete on the national stage. Being the best in their category is no small feat — it's a testament to their dedication, discipline, and team spirit,” said Ken Enders, president and owner at Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land. “We believe in celebrating excellence, and this achievement represents exactly that. We are honored to give them the send-off they deserve.”
Edge Baseball is a premier youth organization providing structured programs for players from 8U through high school. The program balances elite skill development with a deep commitment to family and community engagement, preparing local players for regional, national, and World Series opportunities.
Financial support from Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land’s sponsorship and this special event directly fund the team's travel, equipment, and tournament registration fees, ensuring the players could focus on competing at their highest level in Oklahoma.
“This partnership reflects Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land’s deeply rooted commitment to the communities it serves,” a company spokesperson said. “For years, the dealership has prioritized giving back locally, actively investing in organizations, youth programs, and initiatives that enrich Fort Bend County and the greater Houston area.”
