Martha Lynne Crowe was a wonderful wife and loving mother and a committed follower of Jesus Christ.
On the morning of January 8, 2021, Martha Lynne Crowe went home to be with the Lord. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on July 22, 1935 to William and Eula Rugg who taught her about Jesus and her love for the Lord grew throughout her childhood and she served Him faithfully throughout her life. After graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1953, she attended Stevens College in Missouri. She transferred to the University of Houston her junior year where she met John T Crowe, Jr in a Radio/Television meeting. They married on June 16, 1956 at First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a faithful servant to Jesus. Martha loved being with her family and taking care of them.
Martha has been reunited with her parents, William and Eula Rugg and her son, Scott Crowe and his wife, Marla. She leaves behind her husband of almost 65 years, John T Crowe, her sons Craig Crowe and wife, Diedre; John C Crowe and wife, Diane; Randy Crowe and wife, Elizabeth; her grandchildren, Aaron Crowe and wife, Genesis; Travis Crowe and wife, Addie; Justin Crowe; Emily Murphy and husband, Kyle; and Michael Crowe and wife, Jordan; Brian Hill and wife Caitlin and her great grandchildren Westin, Kase, Carter, Nolan and Everett.
Martha loved to teach God’s word and she did at South Side Baptist Church in Baton Rouge; Tallowood Baptist Church, Houston; Kingsland Baptist Church, Katy; and finally River Bend Baptist Church, Fulshear. She taught children’s Sunday School, adult women’s Bible Study, and served in Women’s Ministry.
Martha’s life will be celebrated on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 2 p.m. at River Bend Baptist Church, 27600 FM 1093, Fulshear, Texas. Due to Covid restrictions there will be limited space available and the service will be live streamed on www.RiverBendBC.org and Facebook Live River Bend Baptist Church – Fulshear, Texas. The family is grateful to everyone for their warm thoughts and prayers. She will be greatly missed, but we know she is rejoicing in heaven.
