Marilyn “Jurajda” Hart
Marilyn “Jurajda” Hart of Katy, Texas passed away on July 23, 2023 at the age of 84.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elgin Neil Hart; parents, Rose Kubena Jurajda and Adolph Jurajda.
Marilyn is survived by daughter, Lisa Hart Yarbrough and husband, Dr. Michael Yarbrough of Katy, Texas; sons, Jeffrey Hart and wife, Arla of Winchester, Texas, Gregory Hart of Maryville, Tennessee, Bradley Hart and wife Laurie of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren, Kayla, Kensley and Cayden Hart, Gregory “Neil” Hart, Nichole Barton and Darrell Sledge; great grandchildren, Grey and Matthew Hart, Sophia, Emerson, Brooks and Eleanor Barton, Caleb Stimac, Brenden Downs, and Bryson, Cameron and Dylan Sledge; sisters, Carol J. Kitchen of Austin, Texas and Beatrice A. Heitmann and Edsel Morrow of Katy, Texas.
Marilyn was born on May 3, 1939 in East Bernard, Texas. Marilyn grew up in La Grange, Texas and graduated from LaGrange High School in 1957. On June 7, 1958, Marilyn married Neil Hart and they moved to Houston, Texas. In 1976, they moved to Katy, Texas where she started working for Katy ISD as secretary for an elementary school principal. She then moved to Katy ISD Administration as an administrative assistant until her retirement.
Marilyn loved rock hunting, collecting Fenton glassware and spending time with family and friends. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly. Marilyn was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will truly be missed.
The family of Marilyn Hart would like to thank the staff at Carriage Inn Assisted Living for all the years of love and care given to our mom.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, 1344 W. Grand Parkway South, Katy, Texas. Funeral Service will be Monday, July 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Winchester Cemetery in Winchester, Texas.
Pallbearers are Jeffrey Hart, Gregory Hart, Bradley Hart, Dr. Michael Yarbrough, Gregory “Neil” Hart and Jonathan Hart.
Honorary Pallbearers are Darrell Sledge, Dwight Mann, Ray Byrd, Ronnie Sherrill, Edsel Morrow and Henry Pearson.
