Marie Elizabeth “Beth” Francis, 76, was called home to the Lord on August 25, 2026 in Round Rock, Texas, with her family by her side.
Beth was born on January 5, 1950, in Weatherford, Texas. She grew up in Dallas and graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School. Beth married James Patrick Francis in 1972, and she was the very proud mother of two children, James Patrick Francis, Jr. and Shannon Cathleen Francis. Beth received Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1980 and was a faithful follower and witness to God’s Word for the rest of her life. She resided in Katy, Texas for over 50 years and was an active member of Kingsland Baptist Church for almost 30 years. She was known by everyone for her faith, her generous heart, and her beautiful smile.
Beth was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family with her whole heart. She also dedicated her life to serving her church community and anyone she met in need, all for the greater purpose of leading others to Christ. Closely following faith and family was her love of country and, especially, the Great State of Texas. Many years were spent studying history and genealogy, and she took great pride in her family’s own Texas history.
Beth is survived by her daughter, Shannon of Round Rock, Texas; sister, Rebecca Alene “Becky” Baxter and husband, Greg, of Celina, Texas; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Jim; son, Patrick; parents, Alene Wolfenberger Isbell Brown and John Raymond Isbell; and brother, John Michael Isbell.
A celebration of life will be held at Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
