Local business coach and active community volunteer Greg Hess announced the completion of his new book, “Peak Experiences”. The announcement came May 19th via social media. Details about the book may be found at https://a.co/d/1ETwF1p. A Kindle version is also offered as an option.

“My new book, ‘Peak Experiences,” is now available,” said Hess in the Facebook post. “[It is] an enjoyable read about leveraging moments in time to propel you to higher levels of consciousness. Peak experiences don’t come for free and are usually associated with intense deliberate practice.”

Drawing from a rich tapestry of personal anecdotes and universal truths, Coach Hess shares insights from his diverse experiences as a collegiate athlete, a seasoned coach, and a business leader who has navigated both personal and professional highs and lows, says the Amazon site.

The book begins with Hess’s early days as a basketball player and coach, where lessons learned on the court illuminate broader principles of leadership and personal development, Amazon’s description continues. The narrative then transitions into his courageous solo bicycle tour from Jasper, Alberta to Thousand Oaks, California—a metaphorical backdrop for the book’s exploration of self-discovery and personal challenge.

"Peak Experiences" delves into the concept of the potential zone, a state where individuals harness their inherent talents and experiences to achieve extraordinary results. Through stories of overcoming adversity, including Hess's own battle with pancreatic cancer, the book illustrates how critical situations can become pivotal learning opportunities that strengthen resilience and clarify life’s purpose.

Each chapter integrates practical advice on cultivating a resilient mindset, embracing the discipline of self-improvement, and understanding the impact of individual choices. Hess’s narrative encourages readers to reflect on their own peak experiences and the lessons they impart, fostering a mindset geared towards continuous personal and professional growth. The book also emphasizes the importance of mentors and community, illustrating how supportive relationships can propel us towards individual goals.

Hess is planning an official book launch party in June, he told the Katy Times in late May.

Through his business, ActionCOACH, a business coaching company Hess works with businesses and individuals, from start-ups through to executives to identify your challenges and to apply practical and results-driven solutions, according to his company website.

Hess – known to his clients and to the community as “Coach Hess” – is an active member of the Rotary Club of Katy and volunteers his time with Special Olympics.
