Each year, the NFL Hall of Fame hosts camps and showcases at its facility in Canton, Ohio, and two Sealy Tigers and a Brazos Cougar participated in this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy Rising Stars Camp July 12-14.
It was the second year attending for Sealy Junior High School student Kane Killough, who was joined by his teammate Landon Freeman and Brazos Junior High Schooler Cole Moody in their first years participating in the camp.
The three-day schedule was filled with live drills, classroom teachings, and 7-on-7 games coached by ex-NFL and collegiate stars who own 27 Super Bowl championships and 10 college football national championships between them.
Sealy football coach Glen Killough noted the trip was highlighted by a speech from Rod Woodson, who played 10 years for the Pittsburgh Steelers and won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens.
The boys were also treated to a tour of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and tested their abilities to the fullest in the Hall of Fame Stadium.
