Near-perfect autumn weather provided the ideal setting for the City of Katy’s 2024 Rice Harvest Festival Parade on Saturday, October 5. Families lined Avenue C to watch over 40 parade entries highlighting Katy’s history and agricultural heritage. Top honors were awarded as follows: Best in Show – Katy Junior High Cheer; Best Use of Rice – West Houston Rugby Club; and Most Creative – AC Comfort. Judging was provided by members of Keep Katy Beautiful and the Parks Advisory board.
