Katy, Tompkins and Paetow all held their spots in the week six Houston-area high school football rankings.

Katy remained No. 1 in Class 6A, receiving 12 of 13 first place votes, while No. 2 Spring received the other first place vote. Bridgeland, Atascocita and Westfield rounded out the top five while Tompkins was at No. 8 for the second straight week.

In Class 5A, Fort Bend Marshall remained No. 1 with 12 first place votes and Paetow was No. 2, receiving one first place vote. Hightower jumped to No. 5 after its win over Manvel while Manvel dropped from No. 3 to No. 6.

Huffman-Hargrave stayed at No. 1 in the small school poll followed by Bellville and El Campo and Second Baptist jumped up to No. 1 in the small school poll after its win over Port Lavaca while Kinkaid dropped to No. 2 after losing to Little Cypress-Mauriceville.
