The Katy Market Day organization has announced that its first craft fair of 2020 is set for Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. held in Old Town Katy near Katy City Hall. The announcement indicated the event had been approved by Katy Mayor Bill Hastings and would feature 50 vendors in addition to food trucks.
The announcement said prior vendors have already taken up the majority of the spots available for the event, but organizers would consider filling any unexpectedly open places starting Sept. 25. Those interested should email info@katymarketday.com.
Market Day is a monthly event held regularly from March through December. However, the market has been cancelled from March through September due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is held on the block surrounding the Katy Downtown Plaza project which includes Second and Third streets as well as avenues B and C.
Katy Market Day is spearheaded by Betsy Proctor, proprietor of The Limited Edition Art and Antiques in Old Katy.
