Katy ISD stands ready to help students stay fueled up for summer activities with the Summer Food Service program, providing free breakfast and lunch meals to students, aged 18 or younger, regardless of their enrollment, the district announced in a May 23 press release.

The program launched May 27 at the Opportunity Awareness Center. On May 29, meals became available at Faldyn, Franz and Memorial Parkway Elementaries. Dates and locations at other Katy ISD facilities through July 31 are included in the program, and a full schedule is listed, below.

Three locations will only serve lunch this summer: Paetow, Mayde Creek and Morton Ranch high schools.

“Our Summer Food Service is always popular with the community, and it is our pleasure to provide this service to families,” said Donna Pittenger, executive director of Nutrition and Food Services.

Please note, all meals must be eaten inside the school's cafeteria.

There will be no service at the following locations from June 30 - July 4:

· Opportunity Awareness Center

· Mayde Creek High School

· Morton Ranch High School

· Paetow High School
