Katy ISD earned an overall A rating (91) from the Texas Education Agency’s A-F Accountability Rating System, the district said.
Katy ISD is one of 396 districts, and the second-largest district, out of more than 1,000 districts in Texas, to earn an A rating. Additionally, Katy ISD campuses also received letter grades that include:
The TEA’s A-F rating system is similar to the letter grades that students receive for their academic assignments. The agency uses the accountability system to evaluate the academic performance of Texas public schools. Its overall rating is based on three domains, which include:
Superintendent Ken Gregorski said the “A+” in the Katy ISD logo is a reminder of the education the district’s teachers and staff deliver to students.
“The district’s TEA accountability rating reflects the hard work of our educators, their dedication to all learners, and demonstrates our entire staff and community’s commitment to educational excellence,” Gregorski said.
Harmony Public Schools Houston South and West Districts have earned an “A” in the Texas Education Agency’s first accountability ratings since the COVID pandemic began.
All six schools in Harmony Public Schools Houston West District earned an A rating (95). Three out of six campuses in Harmony Public Schools Houston South District received an A rating (92) while the other three campuses earned a B rating.
“These results showcase the hard work and dedication of every educator in the Harmony Public Schools Houston South and West Districts. They uphold the quality of excellence our students receive every day,” Ramazan Coskuner, superintendent, said.
Royal ISD earned a B rating (81).
