Katy ISD has released the agenda for a special meeting to be held March 23 at 5:30 p.m. via video conference. The move comes as the district needs to identify how it will move forward in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is an agenda item to be considered.
Public comments will be allowed, however the agenda asks that commenters not congregate after their comments are delivered and leave board room of the Education Support Complex. The meeting is being held under special provisions issued by Texas Governor Greg Abbott earlier this week that suspend some requirements of the Open Meetings Act to protect the public’s safety. Comments must be relevant to the three items on the board’s agenda, per the document distributed by the district.
Those wishing to watch the meeting may do so via the district’s live streaming service.
The full agenda can be found here.
