Katy ISD announces closure for Tuesday, delay of athletic events
Katy ISD has announced that all campuses and facilities will be closed on Tuesday due to hazardous weather conditions. Included in this is the cancellation of all before and after school activities.
The school district anticipates for campuses to be reopened on Wednesday and asks all parents, staff and community members to monitor Katy ISD platforms for updates on school closings, event cancellations and changed in the forecast.
The closure will delay all athletic events from varsity and subvarsity, including basketball, soccer, wrestling and softball. It is expected that games scheduled for Tuesday will be postponed to their same original times on Wednesday.
