Katy Exchange market resumes following Rice Harvest Festival hiatus
The Katy Exchange market returned to downtown Katy in midday November 15, featuring a fun-filled day of shopping and activities for the whole family, including a petting zoo, pet adoption, a bounce house, fall crafts and lawn games. Music was provided by DJ Max.

Rick MacDonald of Katy Home Savers (center, with microphone), thanks officials from the City of Katy for the $2,500.00 donation to his organization on November 15 at the Katy Exchange in the historic downtown square at Second Street and Avenue C. The presentation of the funds – the result of proceeds from the Katy Exchange market run by the city – was made by City Administrator Byron Hebert (far right) and Kaci Maris, Tourism and Marketing Events Coordinator (second from right). Katy Home Savers is a nonprofit organization that assists senior citizens and others with home repair.
