Katy VFW Reception
Join Katy Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9182 and Auxiliary for a reception and presentation at Katy Junior High, located at 5350 Franz Road, Katy. Attendees will have time to visit with veterans from 3:15-4 p.m. then watch a presentation honoring veterans from 4:15-5:15 p.m. Free admission. Honor veterans at Central Green
Visit Central Green Park at LaCenterra as the park hosts a Veterans Day celebration that includes live music performed by local artist Sam Smith as well as a brass band. Local veterans will speak about their experiences in the armed forces and a flyover featuring historic planes from the Houston Wing of the Commemorative Air Force will occur at 5:15 p.m. Presentations and live music will be held from 5-8 p.m. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/CentralGreenWFDD.
Veterans Day at The Wildcatter
Step out to The Wildcatter Saloon at 26913 I-10 in Katy for live music and a chance to support veterans’ groups. Outlaw Dave from The Outlaw Dave Show podcast will MC this event. Veteran’s Whiskey Night and Networking
Visit MKT Distillery at 5373 First Street in Katy under the Katy Rice Dryers for a veterans’ networking event on Friday, Nov. 12. This event provides area veterans with the opportunity to network with one another and enjoy locally distilled spirits. MKT hosts this event in cooperation with The Veteran’s Cartel, a business networking group for veterans. Free admission, but there is a charge for beverages and food. Family-friendly.
