Jordan kept its playoff run going Friday as the Warriors beat its playoff run going with a 10-5 win over Friendswood in the Class 5A Region III final.
With the win, Jordan advances to the Class 5A state championships, where they will play in the semifinals next Thursday.
Just like in their regional quarterfinal matchup, Jordan held a 4-3 lead heading out of doubles after two wins on the boys side and two wins on the girls side.
The team got singles wins from Vincent Rivas, Vedhanth Rajagopalan, Luke Vierling, Keerthana Hari, Rachana Hari and Avery McKay to secure their berth to the state championships.
Jordan will take on No. 1 ranked Highland Park in the state semifinal 8 a.m. Thursday at Texas A&M in College Station.
The winner will advance to play in the state final 8 a.m. Friday.
