With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Joann Kathern (Hampton) Fink at the age of 83. She was born in Talihina, Oklahoma, to Chun Hampton and Vineria Mae (Sephus-Hampton) King. Joann had four siblings who grew up in Visalia, California.
In 1959, Joann married the love of her life, Dennis Dewayne Fink. Together, they built a beautiful life over the course of 50 years. Joann was a devoted wife and mother, and her legacy lives on in her children: Kevin Fink (Wife-Sheila), Monica Fink, and Barbara Fink-Symanek (Husband-Butch). She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis Fink; her brother, Vernon Hampton; sisters Dianne Tucker and Elizabeth Abel; and her grandson, Kevin Wayne Fink, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Wanda Elliott, her three children, her four grandchildren: Jessica Padilla, Desiree Fink, Earl Dillon (Wife-Chrissa) and Nicholas Hussain. Joann had six great-grandchildren: Fernando Padilla, Jewel Padilla, Ava Padilla, Rachel Dillon, Gavin Dillon, and Kaden Hiton.
In addition to her role as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was known to be a fantastic softball player, great bowler, and crafter. She loved watching football and being outdoors; you could always find her in her backyard clearing weeds in her flower beds. She was known for her unwavering love for her family and could always be counted when anyone needed help.
A graveside memorial for Joann Fink is scheduled for February 22, 2025, at Shafter Memorial Park in Shafter, California, at 10:00 a.m.
