The Houston Rotary District 5890 has chartered a new club for Greater Houston veterans as well as announced its 2020-2021 Rotary International Theme.
The newly chartered Rotary Club of Greater Houston Veterans will be providing needed services to veterans locally, nationally and worldwide within the framework of Rotary International’s 7 Areas of Focus.
Membership is open to veterans, active duty service members, patriots and past rotarians. The veteran’s club meets twice a month on Tuesdays at 7 p.m., starting July 14. Meetings will alternate via Zoom or hybrid. The first meeting will discuss the club’s mission statement, announce the leadership as well as membership dues, obligations and responsibilities. There will also be a Q&A session.
The 2020-2021 Rotary International Theme is “Rotary Opens Opportunities.”
