Hayden Jobe, a graduate of Katy High School, has been named the 2024 recipient of the Randall Beckendorff Memorial scholarship, according to a May 8th announcement from Kay Beckendorff Sword.

Jobe was awarded the scholarship during the Katy High School FFA Banquet. While at Katy High School, Jobe was in the Future Farmers of America and was the caption of the Katy FFA Tigers and targets varsity shooting team. His other activities included serving in Seniors Volunteering Proudly and raising and showing swine at the Katy ISD livestock show. He plans to study agricultural business.

“Hayden is a very accomplished young man,” said Christopher Sword of the Randall Beckendorff Memorial Scholarship committee. “He is tremendously deserving. I expect him to also accomplish all of his higher education and life goals.”

The Randall Beckendorff Memorial Scholarship Fund was founded in 1980 in memory of Randall Mark (Randy) Beckendorff, a Katy farmer. The scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to the student who is of average scholastic performance but who is extremely dedicated and hard-working, and who is interested in pursuing an education in the field of agriculture. For more information, go to randallbeckendorffscholarship.org or call Christopher Sword at 281-670-4242.
