Harris County Precinct 4 to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with free events at Radack Center

Commissioner Lesley Briones invites the public to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through a series of free, family-friendly performances, workshops, panels, and festivals across Harris County Precinct 4 community centers and parks. “Latinos make up 42 percent of the Precinct 4 population,” said Briones’ office in a press release. “We proudly celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures within Precinct 4.” Events scheduled at the Radack Center at 18650 Clay Road in Houston include: · A Taste of Latin American Heritage Series, begins October 7 at 11 a.m. Join a Prairie View A&M nutrition education associate for a two-part class on preparing Latin cuisine. Registration is required; call the Radack Center at 832-927-3000 · The Aztec Princess, October 14 at 1:30 ..m. Children of all ages and accompanying adults are invited to see The Aztec Princess perform. This colorful time traveler will tell two classic Mexican fables about anti-bullying while teaching English and Spanish vocabulary.
