Harmony Public Schools announced on October 20 that all full-time returning employees will receive a one-time 4% retention bonus this month. The move “recogniz[es] the outstanding dedication and teamwork that continue to make Harmony one of Texas’s top-performing school systems,” the charter school system said in its press release. “Over the past school year, teachers, support staff, and administrators have worked tirelessly to help students thrive academically while ensuring that campuses remained financially strong and efficient,” the release said. “As a result, Harmony ended the 2024–25 school year as one of Texas’ top-performing public school systems—both academically and financially.” “This bonus is more than a thank-you—it’s a reflection of what happens when we all pull together toward a common goal,” said Harmony Public Schools CEO Fatih Ay. “Our staff’s commitment to students and careful stewardship of resources made this possible.” One-Time Retention Bonus Details Retention bonus payments were be issued the week of October 20: Eligibility Criteria:
· Must have received a paycheck at the end of September 2025
· Must have been employed in an eligible position as of May 20, 2025
· Must remain actively employed in an eligible position as of October 17, 2025, with no pending separation
· Substitutes are not eligible
Bonus Amounts:
· Full-time exempt (salaried) employees: 4% of the employee’s annual 2024–25 salary (based on position held as of May 20, 2025)
· Full-time non-exempt (hourly) employees: $1,000 flat amount (increased from $575)
· Temp workers (interns, tutors, etc.): $300 flat amount (increased from $225)
Harmony's curriculum places a heavy focus on STEM skills, Character Education, project-based learning and college readiness. The system has a 98 percent graduation rate for its high school seniors, and 100 percent college acceptance rate among its graduating seniors. Harmony Public Schools is currently accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year for students and team members.
