Freeman High School junior wide receiver Kenyon Roberts (#7) makes a leaping 40-yard reception over Cy-Lakes defender Amire Moore (#11) on Thursday, Aug. 27, at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium. The second-quarter play, Roberts’ first catch of the game, came just before halftime and helped set up Freeman’s first touchdown in the first varsity football game in school history. Though Cy-Lakes ultimately defeated Freeman, 19–14, the moment marked a memorable first for Roberts and a program celebrating the first of many milestones to come.
