The Adopt A Family initiative is an important program that invites individuals, organizations, and businesses to make donations to help alleviate the financial burdens faced by families currently receiving assistance from the Department of Social Services, which operates under the County Health and Human Services Department, said the judge’s office in a press release. The current goal is to raise $10,000 to support these families in need.
County Judge George and program coordinators provided an overview of the initiative and its impact on the community. Speakers included a family who has been a beneficiary of the program, who shared their experience and the significance of the support provided.
