Fashion is stepping into the spotlight as the Fort Bend County Fair celebrates its milestone 90th anniversary with an exciting new event that blends style, community and tradition.

The Fort Bend County Fair Queen Scholarship Committee will present “Reign In Style,” a fashion show fundraiser on Sunday, Aug. 30, in Building C at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, 4310 Hwy. 36 South, Rosenberg. Guests are invited to slip on their Sunday best and enjoy an afternoon filled with runway fashion, shopping, light bites, refreshments, and plenty of hometown charm.

While “Reign In Style” is debuting this year, the event is rooted in one of the Fair's most cherished traditions. For years, the Fort Bend County Fair hosted the beloved “Style in the Bend” fashion show, where Queen Scholarship contestants were introduced to the community in an elegant showcase. “Reign In Style” brings that tradition back with a fresh, modern flair while celebrating the next generation of young women pursuing the Fair Queen crown.

This year's event carries even deeper meaning. The Queen Scholarship Committee is made up of an inspiring group of women, including former Fort Bend County Fair Queens, some of their mothers, and dedicated community volunteers who share a passion for the program. Together, they give back by mentoring the next generation of scholarship candidates while helping preserve one of the Fair's most treasured traditions.

Twenty outstanding young women from across Fort Bend County are currently preparing for their journey toward the crown. “Reign In Style” offers the community the opportunity to meet the contestants before Fair season officially begins and cheer them on as they embark on one of the most memorable experiences of their lives.

Also, several of Fort Bend County's favorite local boutiques will transform the runway into a celebration of the season's latest styles. Guests will enjoy an afternoon of fashion inspiration, boutique shopping, conversations with friends, and an atmosphere that celebrates both community and confidence.

Doors open at 2 p.m., with the runway show followed by shopping, refreshments and opportunities to support the Fort Bend County Fair Queen Scholarship Program.
