The Fort Bend County Fair Association has announced multiple upcoming events for the Fort Bend County Fair. Events are currently scheduled through Oct. 3, but right now organizers are looking for participants in the annual Junior Royalty Pageant and talent contest.
The pageant will be held Sept. 18 in at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds Building B, located at 4310 Highway 36 South in Rosenberg. The contest is broken up into three categories and includes the Fair Prince and Princess event at 10 a.m.; the Fair Duke and Duchess event at 1 p.m.; and Junior Fair Queen event at 3 p.m. Entry is $35 per person, and a $5 sibling discount is available for those that qualify. Participants must be residents of Fort Bend County or zoned to a Fort Bend County School.
Winners will get to ride in the Fort Bend County Fair Parade to be held Sept. 24 on a float provided by the Junior Royalty Committee. More details can be found on the pageant website: https://www.fortbendcountyfair.com/events/2021/jr-fair-royalty
The fair will also host a talent contest with five divisions including Elementary, Junior, Intermediate, Senior and Adult categories. Entry ranges from $20-$30 depending on the division and cash awards will be given out for first, second and third place. The Talent Contest event will be held Sept. 25 beginning at 11 a.m. on the Texas Stage of the fairgrounds.
Talents displayed can be anything from singing and dancing to twirling and magicians. Entries must be received by 4 p.m. on Aug. 25 and should be submitted to the Fort Bend County Fair Office at 4310 Highway 36 South in Rosenberg (zip: 77471).
