Beverley McGrew Walker, Fort Bend County District Clerk, announced June 4 that the District Clerk’s Passport Acceptance Facility located in the Sienna Annex at 5855 Sienna Springs Way, Suite 146, Missouri City, will re-open on June 3 at 8 a.m. for passport appointments and for walk-ins, between appointments, as time permits.

The Sienna Passport Acceptance Facility, closed for remodeling earlier this year, will now accommodate more applicants. According to Walker, “Fort Bend County Citizens always have a need for a passport because approximately 30% of all Fort Bend County Citizens are foreign born and have familial or business ties in another country. Fort Bend County Citizens have the monetary means to travel, as the average yearly income in Fort Bend County is over $105,000.00.”

During the first five months of 2024, the Fort Bend County District Clerk’s Passport Acceptance Facility accepted 11,499 passport applications, took 5,823 passport photos and generated $480,958.00 in revenue to the Fort Bend County general fund.

“Fort Bend County Citizens are welcomed to visit our facilities Monday through Friday at either the Fort Bend County Justice Center located at 1422 Eugene Heimann Circle in Richmond, or at the Sienna Annex at 5855 Sienna Springs Way, Suite 146, Missouri City, to apply for a new passport or to renew an existing passport on Form DS-11.

“Appointments are preferred over walk-ins because wait time will be less for appointments. However, we do take walk-ins as a courtesy to Fort Bend County citizens. Walk-ins should understand that there could be a wait depending on the number of appointments scheduled,” says Senior Chief Deputy Michelle Jochen.

Please check our website for Department of State information regarding fees and documents required to obtain a passport. Money orders are now available on site at county facilities for applicants who do not have personal checks. Please note: the Department of State only accepts money orders and/or personal checks for passport books, passport cards, and expediting fees. The photo fee and the execution fee can be paid with cash or card.
