On June 17, 2020, first responders in the Katy area held a parade in their vehicles for health care workers at the Texas Children’s Hospital. Vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars drove by, sirens blaring and horns honking, as health care workers stood outside and waved.
Currently, Texas Children’s Hospital is working to enforce health guidelines when it comes to COVID-19 as well as admitting new patients. The hospital is implementing screening protocols with temperature checks and symptom-related questions as well as maintaining a six-foot distance in waiting rooms and elevators.
