The Royal Falcons baseball team defeated the LaMarque Cougars 12 to 1 on April 15.
Coach Mekele Brown expressed his appreciation for the team’s achievement. “Today the Royal High School Varsity Baseball Team accomplished something tonight that has never been done before. All we kept saying is #HistoryInTheMaking. Well, tonight history was made.”
However, the Falcons fell to the Cougars 18-12 on April 15, dropping their record down to 6-11-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. However, the team increased their average scoring up to 6.3 runs per game.
The Falcons do not have any other games scheduled.
