Posted

A total of 106 kids from around the area benefited from the 2019 annual Faith Academy baseball, softball, football and volleyball summer camps.

Coach Kenneth Woodley and Coach Trey Carter headed up the softball and baseball camp. Coach James Crawford directed the football camp with Coach Carter assisting. Coach Joshua McLain and the Faith Academy varsity players guided the volleyball camp. Coach Chuck Tomlinson and Coach Terri Tomlinson led the basketball camp.

“We are seeing more of our students participate in our summer camps which are helping build our athletic program,” Chuck Tomlinson, FA Athletic Director, said.

In July, Faith Academy hosted the annual JH/HS basketball and JH/HS volleyball for FA athletes. The basketball camp was headed up by Blinn Junior College Athletic Director and Head Boys Basketball Coach Scott Schumacher. The volleyball camp was led by Stephen F. Austin State University Associate Volleyball Coach Adler Augustin.

“Watching the all the camps this summer has the Faith Academy coaching staff and players excited about the upcoming athletic season,” Tomlinson said.
